The Maine Chickadee Classic is a four-day outdoor all-breed AKC conformation show held annually at the Cumberland Fairgrounds in June. Premiums and online entries are on the Show Superintendent's website.

The Maine Chickadee Classic is a four-day outdoor all breed AKC conformation show held annually at the Cumberland Fairgrounds. This beautiful setting with an old-fashioned county fair atmosphere consists of 86 fenced acres affording plenty of space for overnight camping and parking. Food and beverages are available for sale on site.
The show starts on Thursday, with two all-breed shows and Junior Showmanship at the Central Maine Kennel Club show. The Lewiston-Auburn Kennel Club show is on Friday, with two all-breed shows and Junior Showmanship. The Penobscot Valley Kennel Club shows are on Saturday and Sunday with an AKC National Owner-Handled Series each day, Junior Showmanship each day, 4 and Under 6 Months Puppy Competition (Best Puppy in Show) on Saturday, and several Specialty Shows and Supported Entries over the weekend. New title rosettes are offered by each club, each day. A handling class for beginners will be offered on Saturday before judging begins.

This is the show that both judges and handlers look forward to every year. The wonderfully groomed and gated grounds and friendly folks make the experience a real pleasure, not to be missed.
